“For god fucking sake’s dude where the hell are we?” Tom groaned from the back seat of the SUV. “Feels like we’ve been on this highway for a goddam age.”
“That’s because we have you big oaf.” Jackson said from the drivers’ seat. The four of them had been driving for days on their cross country road trip after graduating college. Jackson, Tom, Paul, and Rodger had only received those glorious pieces of paper from an illustrious university days ago, but their minds were firmly set on the future. Each one had already received offers for high paying jobs straight out of school, and they couldn’t wait to get out into the world and stake their claims on it. Countless drunken nights they had sat there and laid their plans for what they jokingly called, “world domination”. Not only did they have that shiny piece of paper but they also had the will, determination, and IQ s to attain their goals. For the four of them, the world was looking nothing but up.
“I can’t believe that after four years I’m only now realizing how much you bitch. Did we just simply never notice it?” questioned Paul from the passenger seat. “Or is it because we just got so intoxicated around him all the time we mistook for him being funny?”
“Fuck all you drunk bastards, no wonder you never listened to me when I said I needed wingmen at the bars.” Tom shot back, eyes still closed head resting against the window.
“Dude! No wingman in the world could’ve helped you with your body odor! Everyone could smell you ten feet away!” Rodger exclaimed, “It’s why we’ve had the window open every minute we’ve been in the car.”
Tom glared at Rodger sitting next to him, “I. Have. A. Gland. Problem.” He said stonefaced, then jumped on top of Rodger pinning his head against the window. He held down Rodgers arms, held up his left arm, and drove his armpit into Rodgers face. “How do I smell now asshole!”
“Like..like…a…skunk just ….fucked your mom.” Rodger choked out between gasps for air. All four burst out laughing. As Paul cleared the tears from his eyes, a deer bounded into the road.
